2025 Triangle Dog Of The Year Calendar Contest Supporting Charley's K9 Rescue
The coveted Triangle Dog Of The Year Calendar Contest is back!
If you know me, I’ve wanted to do a calendar since I started my business a couple of years ago. Who better to partner with for a calendar and a fundraiser than our friends over at Perfectly Imperfect Pups?!
Not only has PIPs, for short, been one of the rescues that I’ve been working with and photographing for for the longest time, but we foster failed our sweet foster, Gumbo, from there.
In fact, PIPs has stepped up a lot recently when the shelter has been overwhelmed and understaffed to pull so many dogs. They specialize in special needs pups, but they also pull a lot of high-risk dogs and believe that every dog deserves a chance to thrive and live a happy, healthy life.
In other words, they could really use the funding and support.
So, without further ado, may I introduce my 2024 Triangle Dog Of The Year Calendar Contest benefitting Perfectly Imperfect Pups! All entries, votes, and calendar sales will go back to PIPs themselves!
HOW DOES THE CONTEST WORK YOU ASK?
You submit your dog’s photo via our online voting platform, ask family and friends to vote, and the top thirteen winners at the end of the contest will receive a coveted spot in the calendar and win a complimentary photo session from me, the digital file for their calendar image, and bragging rights for being one of 2025’s Triangle Dogs Of The Year. Pretty cool, right? (Check out the previous 2024 Calendar here!)
Additionally, each week we will have mini-contest sponsors, who will give away a prize for the dog that week that received the most votes. We have awesome prizes coming from local businesses and vendors soon!
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO ENTER?
Each entry is $5 and each vote is $1 with a 5 vote minimum! All entries and votes are tax deductible.
WHO DO THE FUNDS SUPPORT?
This year’s recipient of the 2025 Triangle Dog Of The Year Calendar Contest will go back to our friends over at Charley’s K9 Rescue. Charley's K-9 Rescue, located in Butner, North Carolina, is a non-profit, veteran-founded organization that provides assistance to North Carolina high kill shelters and community pet owners.
At Charley’s K9 Rescue, it is our mission to give dogs a second chance at being recognized as a loving and important part of the family. We place our focus on overlooked bully breeds left behind in our North Carolina shelters.
It is within this mission that we promise to be a safe haven where they begin a journey of rehabilitation, gaining confidence and preparing for a new life of acceptance. This journey begins with a decompression period before finally adjusting to a home environment that emphasizes socialization with trainers, volunteers, children, cats and fellow canine comrades. Then, through regular behavioral assessments, our dogs become well-trained and ready for adoption.
As an intimate rescue, we believe in the quality of our dogs’ rehabilitation, and take on an amount best for their wellbeing. Though we would love to save all the fur babies, it is our responsibility to provide the best for our dogs without compromising their recovery and quality of life.
North Carolina ranks 3rd in most avoidable euthanized shelter pets.
Charley's K-9 Rescue is dedicated to the following goals:
Supporting North Carolina Kill Shelters by pulling the forgotten and overlooked
Helping our community dogs.
Finding great homes for even greater dogs!
Charley's K-9 Rescue offers group dog training services as well as one on one mentoring to potential dog adopters. We also provide extensive dog training, individualized coaching and support for new dog parents, dog socialization with other dogs, cats, and kids, full vetting and resources for all adopters to be successful in their first year.
WHEN DOES THE CONTEST START?
Entrants and voting begins on February 13th at 10 AM/EST! You may check out our voting page prior to then, but you will not be able to enter your dog or vote until that time.
WHEN DOES THE CONTEST END?
The contest will run for four weeks and will end on March 12th at 8 PM/EST! During that time you may enter the contest and vote as often as possible for your favorite dog.
HOW DO YOU CHOOSE WHO WON?
The top thirteen pups on the leaderboard with the most votes as tallied by GogoPhotoContest will be awarded the thirteen calendar spots with the dog with the most votes receiving the biggest prize of the cover photo!
