Houndvision Recap Ana Maria Island, Florida
As with any profession, continuing education is so important for growth.
At the end of January, I had the absolute honor to be accepted into a three-day Pet Photography intensive, Houndvision, hosted by none other than the amazing duo of Dog Breath Photography, Kaylee Greer and Sam Haddix, and the Pet Photography business mentor extraordinaire, Nicole Begley of Hair Of The Dog Academy.
Talk about a total game changer.
Over three days, we talked about:
Affirming your business why
The basics of Pet Photography
The evolution of style
Compositional elements
Pricing and products
Editing techniques and tools
And more…
Really, for me, the biggest reason I chose to go was to for the photo sessions themselves. Not only, did we have access to unique, gorgeous locations, but the honor to photograph alongside our mentors and fellow attendees.
It was one of those pinch me moments. The dogs were dynamic, the weather was perfection, and our photography groups were perfectly matched.
There is so much more to say about those three magical days, but I’ll let the work speak for itself!
Going to Houndvision has given me a new found confidence, but it has also gifted me with lots of new ideas, inspiration, and techniques for my personal and rescue clients that I cannot wait to begin applying for you guys.
PS. In case you want to follow these cuties online, all pups have been linked with their Instagram profile.
